Evgenia (Jin) Plotkin Mikhailov

Jin is a dancer, teacher, choreographer and artistic director.

Born in Minsk, Belarus in 1987, Jin and her family moved to Israel in 1991.  Jin started formal dance training in primary school, continued into high school, culminating in the renowned dance training programme in Kibbutz Ga’aton.  She went on to graduate from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, with Bachelor’s Degree in Dance and Education.

Jin was part of the world-renowned Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company 2 (KCDC2), and Vertigo Dance Company in Israel.  She has collaborated with various choreographers such as; Odelia Kuperberg, Elad Schechter, Rina Wertheim, Gil Carlos Harush, Nimrod Freed and more.

Fluent in 3 languages, Jin has taught beginners through to professional masterclass, performed and choreographed in Israel, USA, Russia, Germany, France, New Zealand and Australia.

Now resident in New Zealand, Jin continues to pursue a diverse dance and movement practice. Delivered in her welcoming and inclusive way, Jin’s teaching approach is focused on exploring the world of flow and softness, strength and self-expression.
